Courtesy Posting: URGENT NEED PLEDGES/ RESCUE/ FOSTER - JAKE A067802 @ HESPERIA EUTH LISTED FOR 4/12/23 JAKE - ID #A067802 Hesperia Shelter, Hesperia, So Cal Jake is an adorable 6 yr young, 85 lbs, intact male pittie that came into the shelter on 3/25/23 and is now Euth Listed for 4/12/23. He is rescue only due to medical. Please see below. Per the shelter, 'poor Jake came into the shelter on 3/25/23 as a stray with all four paws swollen with purulent discharge. He had to be carried inside as it hurt for him to walk. Has yeast infection to inguinal/groin area and ears. Ears were red and inflamed with discharge. His elbows are calloused. We have been treating him medically, but he still needs continued medical treatment. Thus, the reason for a rescue request. He does exhibit barrier aggression in kennel. But he's a big LOVE BUG! We took him out to the play yard and walked him into the office space yesterday and he's is a lot more comfortable with us. He knows how to sit for treats. He is dog friendly.'
