About Duke

Duke is a sweet, loving, playful, and energetic young dog. He is in excellent health. He likes most dogs and thinks everyone is his friend--unless they're a stranger knocking at the front door. He bonded with one of my cats but not the other. Outdoors, cats trigger him. He is intrigued by children but hasn't interacted with any. He loves dog parks, toys, and treats, especially peanut butter. At the dog park, he likes to chase and be chased, by big dogs and small dogs alike. At home, he prefers to play with someone, but he also entertains himself with his toys. He likes going on walks, but my age, instability, and lack of strength make that risky for me. We worked one-on-one with a trainer for about four months. He wants to please and is food oriented, so, he's done well with his lessons. But he's very strong and still sometimes unpredictable given the right stimulus. I love this sweet dog, but I must give him up to a good home because I can't risk another fall.
