About June Bug

Brittany / American Staffordshire Terrier
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

June Bug- 45 lbs of sweetness! She is the perfect size; June Bug is 2-3yrs old so we know she has a story before she came to the rescue. She was found wandering the streets, her teets still swollen with milk for puppies that were no where to be found. We suspect she was owned by back yard breeders who kicked her to the curb when her puppies were ready to be sold and she was no longer useful. But of course we're not sure. We do know she has raised some pups and now is ready to take care of herself. June Bug is a very sweet, calm, loving gal, but she'll need a forever family that is willing to be patient, and understanding, because She is shy at first and needs time to warm up with people (again not sure she had safe love from people), but when she is ready, she wags her tail and melts your heart with her golden eyes! June Bug is house and crate trained. She walks GREAT on the leash, likes and wants LOTS of belly rubs-once she trusts you and loves to snuggle up with you at night. Her foster mom says she's doing great with slowly building confidence and learning how to enjoy life. She is food-treat motivated and learning to sit, wait, come, etc. Having another dog to engage and play with will help her learn to become confident - as she would be great addition to a family with kids, a retired person or a person(s) who works at home.
