SOURDOUGH is the horrible name the New York City kill pound gave the handsome, lovable, sixty pound, year and half old Pitbull/Border Collie mix before warehousing the volunteer favorite for a little while and then threatening to kill him for no reason other than convenience. Thankfully, SOURDOUGH was saved by a No Kill rescue where he has been doing wonderfully in foster, learning how to walk gently on leash and how to get along with other dogs in a loving home. SOURDOUGH, a name we encourage his new adopters to change, is a naturally happy, highly affectionate and energetic dog who would love to live in a home with a fenced yard to run and play. SOURDOUGH loves kids, and if carefully introduced to another dog who could match his energy level, he and the other guy would very likely become soul mates for life.
