Meeko is a very young pup that loves to cuddle. He came from animal control and a staff person saw his beautiful potential and feared for his life at the kill shelter so she took him home to foster so he can find his perfect forever home. He is very calm inside the house. He doesn't shred his blankets or bedding. He is learning fetch and sit! We are almost there but he needs some training and commitment because he's still a puppy. Meeko is making great progress with his harness learning how to walk on a leash and is very good about not pulling. Since he's still little and the world is a little intimidating, he was nervous so we had to build his confidence. With lots of treats and reassurance he walks like a champ now. Sometimes when he gets excited he likes to jump up for hugs. With treats he calms down for petting when all four paws are on the ground instead of jumping. Meeko seems to prefer the company of female dogs. Male dogs were a little too much for him in playgroups at the shelter. With slow introductions and proper socialization Meeko would probably do fine with most dogs.
