About Sheba

Hello, I'm Sheba! My name, in Hebrew, means 'promise' and I vow to furever love you if you adopt me! I'm two years old, 52 lbs., and believe I may be a mix of a basenji and pit but who knows - I can, however, contest that I'm 100% adorable! I was found as a stray and then brought to a shelter in NC, where I sadly spent 19 months waiting for someone to come save me - that's nearly my whole life! Life outside the shelter in my foster home has been great and I cannot wait to find a family of my very own! One thing about me is that I absolutely LOVE people and with ears as big as mine, I'm a great listener too! I am very loving and a champion snuggler. I really enjoy being outside, especially sniffing and exploring, and will never say no to a walk or run. I have a nice medium energy level and really like to cuddle up next to you on the couch. I'm friendly and love everyone, including other dogs, cats, and kids of all ages! I become very excited around people because I just want to be your best friend! I recently attended a board & train program where I learned a lot about impulse control and manners. I'm very smart so I caught on quickly! Since then, I have been improving every day and cannot wait to show you what I know! Being that I love to run and explore, I MUST go to a home with a fenced yard.
