About Faith

Adoption Fee: $250
Lab mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

This is Faith. I have been fostering Faith for a year. She was picked up as a pregnant stray. She is estimated to be between 4 and 5 years old. She gave birth April 9th 2022 and had 6 beautiful puppies. She was a wonderful momma %9D%A4%8F All her puppies were adopted out. She still gets to see two of her puppies and have play dates....which is so cool to see her play with them! Faith is a very loving, loyal, energetic dog. She loves her foster family very much! She is especially connected with me, her foster mom. Faith is definitely a protector. Anyone coming into the house you will know!! She is potty trained. She does need a yard with a fence and one that is higher then 4 ft tall. She can clear a 4ft fence with no problem. She loves to chase squirrels and rabbits! If I do need to leave the house she goes in a kennel with the 2 other dogs. At night she sleeps in my room. She enjoys to snuggle and fall asleep in bed. On a leash she is very excitable at first. I have found that at least a 10 minute jog for her on the treadmill before she goes on a walk helps her be more manageable for the walk. (Yes, I said on a treadmill. She is trained to be on the treadmill) Faith loves to run, so when the weather permits I will ride my bike and she runs beside me. She loves running very much. This I have found to be the best to exercise her and help with her anxiety. Faith is good with my other dogs except my 16 yr old dog. They have been in several fights. Faith is good with dogs, but I believe dogs that are submissive. She does really well with her 2 siblings that are submissive. She also does well with my cat and they actually snuggle together alot. They do play and Faith does chase the cat, but all in fun. As I had mentioned Faith is a protector. That being said she has nudge people coming into my home and I have to correct her. She sometimes will follow around a person and seems like she is watching with a lot of intensity and she has to be corrected. The right person or family for Faith is one that has the time for her and wouldn't be leaving her alone a lot. Also, I think older children would be better suited for Faith. More of a calm household were kids aren't constantly running around. I think teenager on up would be the best fit for Faith. Faith will need someone who likes be active. A house that has other dogs they would need to be submissive. Faith will make an excellent family memeber for the right household. She has so much love to give and deserves all the attention, time, and companionship in the world %9D%A4
