About Roscoe

I found this pup walking down the road on Monday, and he wouldn't let me help him. He ran in the woods, and I went home. He showed up 2+ miles away 3 hours later in front of my house. I lured him with food. He growled at me but I pet him while feeding him, and he eventually let me pick him up. He was covered in ticks, soaked from the rain, and tired. I dried him off and gave him a warm bed. We took him to Animal Control. They said he isn't doing well because he isn't trusting anyone and growls at them. I'm sure they don't have time to baby him, but he needs someone with patience who can help him learn to trust again. I'm so worried about him, and I'm afraid they will euthanize him soon. Can you help? He appears to be a young pup with an old soul. He weighs 22 lbs and is not microchipped.
