BEAUTIFUL 13 YR SENIOR LADY NEEDS A GOOD HOME AND OR FOSTER AND RESCUE, WHO CAN HELP SAVE HER? Lady, ID: A5541195. We cannot believe someone dumped this senior girl as a stray. She was eventually brought to the Lancaster shelter where she waits for someone to save her, or now will be sadly euthanized for space as the shelter is full. Please help us find a good home, foster and or rescue for beautiful Lady before it is too late. The shelter says she is 'very sweet, easily handled' and estimated to be 13 years old. She is now available for adoption at the Lancaster shelter. They have wonderful things to say about her and would either like to see her get a routine vet visit and some lab work due to age by an adopter, or have her being rescue. Of course, rescues need fosters to save seniors, so we are also looking for a long term foster, or foster to adopt where the rescue would assist with minor medical. Lady is missing some fur, has some crustiness on ears and elbows, as well as rear dew claws. She currently weighs 61 lbs. and has been listed as a german shepherd chow mix, but the shelter just realized she has a very pink tongue with no black on it, so we are waiting for her breed to be updated, we requested to shepherd golden retriever mix since that what she mostly resembles to us. Here are some helpful notes about Lady during a recent playgroup: 'She was laying on her bed in the kennel as the runner approached. She had soft eyes, relaxed body and natural set ears. When the runner opened the kennel gate, she still remained laying on her bed. The runner was able to easily loop leash her and then she stood up. She exited the kennel willingly and walked to the play yard with no pull on the leash. She entered the catch pen with soft eyes, relaxed body and low tail. She exchanged timid greetings with the other dogs through the play yard fence. She was easily collared by the runner. She entered the play yard with soft eyes and low tail. She bypassed the other dogs and began to roam the yard exploring her surroundings. She was approached by a female Shepherd. She was tolerant of her sniffing her, but did not return the greeting. She was then approached by a calm male Pitbull and exchanged a soft greeting with him. After this, she continued to roam the yard and explore her surroundings. She continued to remain calm and social for the rest of her time in the yard. Lady is social with the other dogs, but has no play style at this time. ' Due to her size and age, MIDDLE SCHOOL AGED children and CALM DOGS are recommended if you have either. We also have her full medical notes if you need them.
