About Rusty

I'm looking for a good and loving home for an older (best guess is 12-year-old) rust-colored mix (may be part Corgi, part Chihuahua, but unsure) named Rusty. He is devoted to my father-in-law and mother-in-law. They both have serious medical conditions and cognitive decline and will be moving into a nursing home on 4/1/23. They cannot take Rusty with them. No family members can take Rusty due to allergies. Our priority is that Rusty go to a safe and loving home. Rusty is getting on in years and may have some bladder control problems. It could also be that my in-laws in their confusion are forgetting to let him out. He is house-trained, however. He is very sweet and quiet. He lived with a cat and a dog who we rehomed, and they got along very well. Rusty is not in my custody, but will be with my in-laws until he is rehomed or until they move. Their children are managing the rehoming as they cannot. As my in-laws are moving due to an emergency medical situation, we must find a home for him by 4/1/23 or he will be homeless. Thank you!
