About Walker

This cute little guy has never known a home. Found as a young pup on the street, he was surrendered to animal control where he struggled, as most anyone would in such an environment. After months and having no prospect for adoption, Walker was transported north to New Jersey. However, due an unfortunate communication issue he was turned around at intake. So back to Florida he went, back to his cold little kennel and his lonely ill-fated life. After a few more months of despair and pacing his confines at animal control, Good Karma Rescue finally pulled Walker, and he has been bunking with them for the last 9 months. And while things are certainly looking up for this happy go luck pup, I just know that his forever happy ending is right around the corner! Walker is a 2 year old American Staffy mix, weighing in around 55lb. He comes vaccinated, neutered and up to date on preventatives. Walker is house trained, rides well in a car, is learning basic commands, and working on leash etiquette. He is a little shy at first and will take time to come out of his shell, but once he trusts you, he is very submissive and cuddly. Walker is overall very mellow and prefers the couch potato life. But he can hold his own in a play group with other dogs or chase the hose around the yard! He is friendly with dogs his size but may find the smaller breeds too much like toys or prey.
