About Nala, Giant Schnauzer

I am looking for a new home for my dog Nala, a 70% Giant Schnauzer. Nala is a loving and playful dog who is incredibly loyal and trainable. She is great with other dogs and enjoys going to the dog park every day to socialize. Nala is also an amazing trail dog who is excellent off-leash. She loves to explore and run around, and always comes back when called. However, Nala needs plenty of exercise and space to thrive, which has been challenging in my current living situation with four roommates. Unfortunately, my roommates are not willing to provide the consistent training and environment that Nala needs to manage her resource guarding behaviors around food, toys, and space. We have made some progress through consistent training, but I know that Nala needs a stable environment to continue improving. Additionally, Nala can become startled and aggressive when waking up or dozing off, which has led to instances of biting. This is something we are actively working on, but it is clear that she needs a new home with a loving and stable environment to continue her progress.
