About MARDI

FLORIDA ADOPTIONS ONLY! PLEASE READ BIO. Meet Mardi. She is a Chihuahua mix weighing in at about 9 lbs. She is approximately 5 years old. General behavior: Mardi is extremely sweet, smart, and willing to please. She loves relaxing and sunning herself in the backyard, but she also loves to play! She knows how to fetch and enjoys playing tug of war. She really is a sweet soul who loves to be by your side. Likes and dislikes: Mardi likes other dogs, kids (younger and older), and adults. She loves to eat, jump high, and play with toys. She likes sunning herself in the yard and soaking up the sun. Her favorite thing to do, just like most other dogs, is to lay by your side and relax on the couch. Training: Mardi is still learning to go outside, but will also go on a peepee pad that's always available in the current foster's house. She is very smart and willing to please, so with time and continuous positive enforcement she will soon learn to go outside 100% of the time. Medical: Mardi has just had her spay done and will be on the mend for the next few weeks. She's otherwise a healthy little pup. Other animals: Mardi is good with other dogs her size, although she can be selective with other females. A meet and greet will be necessary, but as with all multi-dog households, constant management is recommended to ensure that everyone gets along. She can be initially intimidated by bigger dogs, but will ignore them. With the right match, Mardi would love to play with a dog similar to her size, all day long. Children: Mardi gets along with children. Her current foster has 4 other dogs and a 2 year old, and Mardi is doing wonderfully. Grooming: Mardi doesn't require professional grooming just bath time like a regular short hair dog. Overall: Mardi would make an excellent companion for anyone looking for a medium energy dog under 10 lbs. Her intelligence and sweet disposition will make her the perfect pet for any family.
