About Buddy

Buddy was found as a stray, and was traced back to a shelter in the Tampa area which reported him adopted. Somehow, through his long and arduous journey, he ended up hundreds of miles south in another kill shelter. But being a lucky pup, he was pulled by a foster who is now helping him find his always and forever home! Buddy is a 3 year old English Pointer/Lab mix, with soulful eyes and a tender heart. He truly is a gentle giant, getting along with everyone including kids, dogs and cats. He's quiet, low energy and very relaxed. Just an absolute doll! He may take a day or two to warm up and begin to trust, but it's so rewarding when he starts to open up and show you his lovable goofy side. Buddy is house trained, rides well in a car, walks great on a leash, but could benefit from a regular exercise routine to help him shed some extra pounds. He knows sit, down, wait and shake.
