About Monty

Monty is a pretty typical English Bulldog which means that he has quirks. What are those? He will chase and bite at shadows on the ground until redirected. Monty walks well on leash, gets along with other dogs, but will do best as the only one in his home. He is an attention hog and that can lead to conflict. Monty has some food guarding issues. As such wants to not be bothered when being fed. He knows some commands such as sit and downbut on his own terms and timeframe. You understand, he is a Bulldog. Monty does need to be crated when alone or he will find something to entertain himself. Monty has not been around small children. That coupled with his food issues necessitate a home with no children. We would prefer a home with some Bulldog experience as some of his issues can be worked on but it will take time.
