Cricket is a giant ball of fun! He is smart, goofy, and athletic. He is both potty trained and crate trained. He is high energy and loves getting the zoomies around the backyard, playing fetch, and throwing his toys up in the air, before batting them around. Though he is high energy in the yard, he walks very well on his leash with a harness. After he is exercised, he is a cuddle bug. He is VERY obsessed with people and wants to be as close to you as you will allow at all times. He will happily crawl in your lap and give you kisses, or lay to be pet until your hands are tired. He is so soft and fluffy, you will struggle to say no to his insistent requests to be pet. Cricket came in to the shelter as a stray, but you would never know he has had a bad day in his life. He is the happiest, and most bubbly dog. He has the best head tilts, and the happiest smile. He is a large, strong boy, so he will need an owner or family who will continue to work with him on his manners, but he is a quick study. He is highly treat motivated, and already has mastered sit and stay. He is learning down, off, and paw pretty well, also. He loves toys, kongs, and bones, so it is not hard to keep him entertained. He also gets along with his foster brother, but his play style is rambunctious, so he will need a tolerant playmate if he will have doggy siblings. Cricket is already neutered and up to date on all his shots. He is heartworm positive, but please do not let that deter you. Heartworms are not contagious to you or any other pet in your home. It is easily treatable and because he is so loved by the shelter staff and volunteers, $400 of his treatment is already sponsored.
