About Pudge

This little guy is Pudge. He is a year old and weighs 17 pounds. Pudge is a mix of Tibetan Spaniel, Dachshund, Shih Tzu and Chihuahua mix. Pudge does great with other dogs his size and likes to play. He needs another dog in his home to play with and learn from. Pudge is learning to play with toys. Pudge came into rescue as an owner surrender. His family had a house fire and surrendered 36 dogs. Pudge had never had a collar on and had never left his home before so the world is all new to him. He doesn't know how to walk on a leash yet and requires a physically fenced yard so he can safely run and play. He loves running through his yard and comes back to his foster parents when they call him. Pudge is food motivated and willing to learn new things, but he is a scared little guy and will require a patient family. Pudge likes to be near his people. He is learning the joys of snuggles. He comes for attention and gives kisses but is still unsure. Pudge sleeps in the room with his foster parents but doesn't sleep in bed with them unless there is a storm, he is more scared of storms than humans. Pudge is housetrained but may have an accident as he learns a new environment. He would enjoy a home where people are around most of the time. Pudge will go in a kennel when his foster parents are gone but has now earned the freedom to roam. Pudge is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested and microchipped.
