About Jax

Jax is 1.5 year old Australian Cattle dog with high energy and a wonderful temperment. He is full of love and gets along with all people, small children included, as well as cats and other dogs. He never bites and is extremely affectionate. He is very intelligent and could be trained to do some amazing things. He is already trained to do simple things such as sitting, staying, etc. He is crate trained as well. He loves to run, play, and especially chase things. Unfortunately when we got him as a puppy we were not aware of his extreme energy level and herding instincts. We do not have the large open space and access to other dogs or animals that he needs. This has lead to him being very anxious with a lot of pent up energy that transfers into chewing things he should not. We feel he would be better suited in a household with more area for him to run and play, or maybe even a farm where he could make use of his herding instincts.
