~Mooresville, IN #Indiana ~4yo, 80lbs, Male ~Standard Poodle ~Neutered ~I travel for work- I have been traveling for years- but always drove and was never away more than a couple nights per week. I now have two sites in CA and am gone much more frequently and for longer periods of time. A couple days per week worked fine with my teen daughter taking care of him. However, her schedule is too busy for as often as I am now gone. He is such a lover and needs someone with time to play with him and exercise him appropriately. We rescued him 6 months ago never imagining our situation would be what it now is. We love him and are devastated, but this life style is not fair to him. ~Good with cats, kids, other dogs though may be happiest in a home where he is the only dog ~Shed- no more than a person. Recent groom was a very bad cut. Our normal person was unavailable and we were recommended to someone we will never return to ��%BD��%BD��%BD��%BD - luckily his hair grows fairly quickly. Pics attached here are with his normal cut- or before going. I will get one of his current bad cut/shave. ~New home must have either a fenced yard or wide open space where there is no risk for getting near busy street. He loves to spend time outside and roam. New family should be familiar with the breed. He is a barker. He will bark at new people coming in to alert. He does not charge at people but will bark until he either realizes it is someone he knows or until he warms up to them. He attaches to his person and has some anxiety when left alone. Someone working at home would be ideal. He does well with other animals. I do worry he forgets how big he is when he is playing with our cat. He is crate trained and potty trained. He sleeps in my bed all night with no issues, but will sleep in crate as well. He is curious and Indont recommend leaving him out for a long amount of time alone in the home. He travels fairly well- but be prepared for him to bark at people. He loves to chase a tennis ball and will return it pretty well. He learns new games quickly. He has lots of toys and will go find his 'squeaky' and bring to you. Loves his toys. ~Must be willing to meet within an hour of Indianapolis IN.
