About Daisy

Daisy is a 2-year old, female, spayed, house trained, Boxer mix surrendered to the rescue because her owner moved to a residence that did not allow dogs. Daisy loves body hugs so much, that she will leap right into your arms from a '4 on the floor' starting position. If you favor dogs that rank high on the 'affectionate' scale, look no further. Her loving attention is off the charts! She never got the memo that she's a bit big to be a lap dog. Recently, Daisy has earned high marks for good behavior on multiple leash walks with small groups of dogs at the shelter. These days she seems relaxed & happy to be part of a pack, but she's also argued with dogs in the past & may prefer to be the only dog in the home. Daisy lived with children before landing at the shelter & she adores their company: she would be pleased as punch if she could play 'tag' or 'duck, duck, goose, ' or just gently snuggle with her own gentle & respectful kids! As with many shelter dogs, meeting Daisy for the 1st time you may need to approach her gradually & let her come to you on her own terms, but once that connection is made, you will be the center of her universe.
