Sammy is a willful, hard headed dog. He is total alpha and I am not! He's wonderful and loving but too much for me to handle. He is now bigger than my senior dog and I think he plays too hyper with him and I don't want my senior dog stressed out all the time. One major issue that is making me give Sammy up is he REFUSES to get into ANY vehicle. I have tried everything but he just hates it. He must go to a home with lots of running room, an alpha male human to help guide his growth and development and someone who has hours a day to work with him. I work from home and am struggling with his barking whenever someone comes to our fence to say hello. He truly is going to be a fabulous dog but he needs a very firm and alpha type of training person. He is good on leash and loves going on his daily walks. He also needs lots of new chew toys weekly as he is still a puppy and likes to chew. Again, he now has a very large yard to run and play in but I feel it is not enough for all his boundless energy. He has his play dates with his 'girlfriend' who is a minnie aussie. Never has hurt her even though he is much bigger and exhuberant than she is. I will not let him go to a home that is an apartment or does not have loads of safe running space for him. I did not know this breed can be so hard headed and the whole not getting into a vehicle is too much for me to compromise with him on. IF I could lift him into the vehicles it would not be an issue, but at this time he weighs too much for me to pick him up! I know he will good for the right person/family I have no doubts about that at all as everyone who meets him, adores him.
