BUSTER BASIC FACTS Breed: Dachshund Color: White & Black Piebald Age: Approximately 9 years Gender: Male, Neutered Size: 21 pounds House-trained: Yes Crate trained: Yes Good with Kids: Yes Good with Dogs: Yes Good with Cats: Unknown Concerns: Buster is blind and would do best in a routine oriented, fairly quiet home where he will have someone willing to show him the ropes. He gets confused if things get a bit too busy. Requires a fenced yard! BIOGRAPHY Buster has seen a lot of changes in the last year. He was found wandering on the streets and was taken in by his finder when his family wouldn't be located. He was there for 6 months until his good Samaritan could no longer care for him due to medical issues if their own. Despite all of his changes and blindness, this boy is a real trooper. Due to his blindness, his adjustment period was a little longer than most but he is now part of the family. He will become quite attached to his chosen person and become their absolute shadow. Just watch under your feet because he needs to be close to know you are there! He loves to sit and cuddle and also loves to be in the yard making good use of his excellent sniffer! He also walks great on a leash and loves to sing with his pack-mates. He will need his owner to continue to work with him on his weight loss journey. Buster is being fostered in Urbana, OH and is available for an adoption fee of $300.00. He is neutered, microchipped, HW negative, and appropriately vaccinated.
