About Maizie

IS THERE ANYONE WILLING TO GIVE TGIS SWEET OLDER LADY A LOVING HOME AND A SOFE BED WITH LOTS OF LOVE SHE DESERVES HERES HER STORY: Maizie Maizie is one of the sweetest pups I have ever met. We estimate her to be 7-8 years young with plenty of love, spunk, personality, and life. Maizie is as close to perfect as they come�'�| house trained, quick learner, knows simple commands, gets along with other dogs (big and small), absolutely adores people, quiet as a mouse while she chills on a pet bed/couch, walks well on a leash, loves to explore, loves car rides, she also talks/grumbles to tell you she loves you, and has the cutest head tilt because she really wants to see all of you with her good eye. She is does have glaucoma in her right eye which at this time appears to be causing her no pain or discomfort, her furever family will want to keep an eye on it with their vet moving forward. Maizie would do great in a home where she is able to truly be one of the family, she does great with respectful children and non-in your face animals, as her one eye causes her vision to be off so she can be a little defensive (small growl) when something is coming at her quickly from that side. Maizie is UTD & spayed. ***she does need to time to decompress in new environments and slow introductions are best, she has been around giant dogs (Great Dane) and little dogs (7 lbs), and cats, she is at times what I could only best describe as a cat in a dog body. She definitely is not an in your face dog however she likes to know where you are in case you need her her She was returned because the adopter did not want to do the daily eye drops. All other vet work was done She is on daily eye drops 1 drop 2x a day, right eye, and we do wash her ears once a week to be proactive against ear infections. She is a perfect patient for both.
