About Heidi

Heidi is a sweet senior gal looking for a retirement home. This is her second time with New Rattitude. She recently returned to her former foster home when her adopters fell on hard times and couldn't keep her. When she originally came to us as a stray in 2018, her estimated age was 8 or 9. That would make Heidi around 13 or 14 today, but you would never know it. Just look at that beautiful face with a tiny touch of gray around her clear, bright eyes. A recent dental appointment has provided her with sparkling clean, healthy teeth, so she's one pretty pup, for sure. Heidi is quite tidy indoors; completely house-trained, she won't need a crate. In fact, she really dislikes a crate and will do her utmost to ensure you never put her there. She loves to snuggle and will happily sleep with you through the night. At 15 lbs., she's just the right size to be your favorite lap dog. She rides well in the car and enjoys outings too. As undemanding as she is in most respects, Heidi does feel that her senior status has granted her the right to determine which other dogs she will tolerate in her presence. Big dogs do not qualify, and any new dogs are likely to receive the stink eye. However, with proper introductions, which her foster mom has offered to facilitate, Heidi accepts other dogs her size. Heidi doesn't require much. A small amount of food, a place to snuggle, and as much love as you can spare. She is sure to give her new family an incredible amount of joy. There's just something special about adopting a senior dog.
