About Meta

Perky little Meta might not look or act her age, but you can tell that her 13 years of life experience have equipped her with excellent household manners and other doggy skills. She greets new people and new dogs with confidence and interest. She is reliably house-trained as long as her humans are also trained to keep a reliable schedule.She walks great on leash and will confidently and dependably lead you on a long hike in the woods even when the leaf-obscured trail is not discernible by your human eye. Although she barely tips the scales at 11 lbs., Meta is nevertheless nimble enough to hop easily up onto your lap when it is snuggle time, and if your hands aren't sufficiently occupied, she'll likely give you a nudge or two to remind you that her neck needs rubbing. She sleeps quietly in her crate at night, sits pretty for her meals, only barks when there is something particularly exciting going on (like a visitor at the front door), rides quietly in her crate in the car, and does not get agitated when left home alone. She is even polite at the vet.
