About Audie

Adoption Fee: $150
Pit Bull / Boxer
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Health: Like many bully breeds, Audie has sensitive skin. Easily managed at this time with a high quality food and an occasional bath. With dogs: Audie was isolated from other dogs and making up for lost time. He's come a long way and is now participating in playgroups both in and out of a muzzle. He enjoys chasing and wrestling. He has a tendency to adrenalize sporadically during play and needs supervision and guidance. Very steerable. No small dogs or fearful dogs'|he has too much prey drive. Audie would need a breed savvy owner to manage him in multi-dog household, but definitely has potential. With cats: No cats. Wants to chase. For grooming: Does excellent for baths, nail trims, and ear cleaning. Very tolerant! Tolerates and welcomes touch. Accepts novel tools and experiences quickly. Great behavior at the vet. In kennel: Polite, clean, never fusses or destroys anything. Never any accidents. In general: Moderate energy level. Loves to lounge and energy comes out in bursts. Moderate food drive. Working on building toy drive. Loves the flirtpole and outs (drops the toy) on cue. Enjoys tug. Walks very nicely on a leash. Familiar with martingale and prong collar. Paces with and wants to stay near his human. Audie has learned to be neutral around strangers (he wanted to greet them all) and dogs (he was overinterested) but these areas will need continued maintenance/reinforcement. He rides well in the car. Quickly lays down on longer rides. Accepts strangers quickly - very gregarious and human oriented. Very submissive in his greetings. Somewhat nervous of new situations, but improving. Has absolutely loved every kid he's met. Needs reminders not to jump on people when excited. Audie's adoption fee is $150. A professional trainer will help with the transition to your home, if needed. His adoption will include a crate and care package, as well as training advice to help resolve any issues that may pop up and 20% off boarding services at Sol Dog Lodge & Training Center for life.
