About Phoebe

Phoebe is a 7.5 years, 6lbs Chihuahua. We have no idea why she was surrendered; surely, it had nothing to do with her. She's the most delightful and lovely little girl! She's a faithful lap dog who would thrive in a quiet home (no large families or children). Having a true chihuahua personality, she will bond with the person(s) she's with the most. She wants someone who's home or will take her wherever they go and let her sleep under the covers in the big bed. She seems okay with all sizes of dogs and has tested well with cats. She can be a little jealous with attention and has no problem pushing her 6 lbs around to get to her person. The other dogs, for some reason, move aside for her. She'll bark when others bark and sometimes give a little yip to get your attention. Phoebe is house-trained with a cheat doggy door. A cheat doggy door has the flap removed. She currently uses Doggy Lawn on the deck; she uses it as needed and uses pee pads on extra cold days. We're sure she'll learn to use a regular doggy door with some training. She enjoys roaming around the larger yard but can not be left alone since she's so tiny. Besides, she doesn't want to stay outside without you; her job is to be the shadow of her owner(s). So far, she hasn't had any accidents in the house. Phoebe has a hidden funny personality which is coming out more each day. She gives a little prance when her foster humans enter a room, even if it has only been a few seconds. Her personality will continue to blossom with a bit of time in her forever home.
