About Candice

It's crazy how a cute, small dog like Candice has been in shelter for months now. We admit she's not setting herself up for success when adopters come to visit. Candice needs time to warm up to new people (new things in general really). Once she does she's as sweet as pie! She just needs patience, then she turns into the sweetest, calmest friend ever. Candice loves to go on walks and is super ladylike on a leash - she doesn't pull at all! She's mostly house trained and will sit on command. Once she's comfortable with you she turns into a total lap dog. She's all about the snuggles! She'd do well in a family with older children that understand her boundaries and need for patience. She'd love a home that's able to give her lots of love, and a big, comfy bed! Candice is a 5YO Rat Terrier mix who came into the shelter as a stray on 1/5/23. She weighs 24 lbs.
