About Rye

(DOB 1/18/2023). Due to Rye's young age, she has not yet been spayed. For this reason, we are only considering local placement (within 1 hour drive time of Wake Forest NC). Do you want some good 'old fashioned puppy love'; then may we introduce you to Rye! Rye would be a great 'liquor (licker) to add to your mix! She is sweet girl and loves affection. Rye is ready to wiggle herself right into your lives! Her tail is always wagging and she is happy as they come! She is on the move and ready for all the love and attention you have to give, and she will be very happy to return with kisses and puppy licks. Rye loves playing with her siblings and loves everyone she meets. She is at that age where toys, and lots of variety to play with, are fun and important to keep her occupied with chewing on the right things. At her age, any children in her fur-ever home should be 8+ years to avoid Rye chewing on little fingers and toes or accidently knocking little ones over with her exuberance and excitement. If there are kitties and proper, slow introductions are done, they should be fine. Cats typically teach puppies pretty quickly their boundaries. Rye wants a yard with a fence and family with another playful dog that can match her energy level. Not only will another dog help her learn proper play, the older pup will help build her confidence and socialization skills which is critical at young ages. Even with a fenced yard, Rye will require leash training because, let's be honest, no one wants a dog that pulls, lunges, and behaves badly on leash! Remember you will need to take Rye to vet appointments and other places, so leash manners are a FUNdamental! In addition, since she is a young puppy it is the paw-fect time for overall training and good doggie manners! We encourage group training lessons for puppies as it is a good opportunity for you and your pup to learn all about dog dynamics and learning. Rye is looking for a fun, active family that is ready for everything that comes a long with puppyhood. She is a sweetheart and sure to be an amazing addition! She's eager to please and wants to make you happy. In return, she wants lots of positive training, love, and attention as well as a LIFE LONG commitment! She knows once you meet her, you will be drunk on her cuteness! Fill out an application today! As part of Rye's $325 adoption fee, she will be spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. In addition to the adoption fee, a $100 spay/neuter deposit and puppy spay/neuter agreement will also be required. The deposit will be returned once the puppy is altered.
