About Kayla

Meet adoptable Kayla! Kayla and her sister, Missy, were surrendered to the shelter due to an incompatibility with the farm animals who lived at their previous home. They have put their past behind them, and are ready for a new place to call home! Kayla is a super friendly and outgoing girl. Despite the difficult transition from country dog to shelter dog, she has remained calm as a cucumber. She seems to be very intelligent and would be an amazing companion for anyone as long as there are no farm animals around for her to stir up trouble with. Kayla is very dog friendly, and given her calm nature we think she would be amazing with kids of any age. Since she's grown up in the country, we imagine some space to run would be wonderful for her. If you are looking for a relatively easy dog, Kayla just might be the perfect fit! Kayla is a two-year-old shepherd/husky mix who weighs about 45 pounds. She has been vaccinated, dewormed, and tested for heartworm disease and all tick-borne illnesses at the shelter. Located at the Brownsville Haywood County Animal Shelter in Brownsville, Tennessee. The adoption fee is $60 with a $60 vet fee to be paid on the day of spay/neuter at Bells Animal Clinic. Alternatively, adopters can have spay/neuter completed at their vet, at their vet's cost. Spay/neuter is required within 30 days of adoption. We have no pull fee and can help arrange transport for local 501c3 rescue groups.
