About Sirius (FKA Doby)

Adoption Fee: $600
Great Dane
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

LOCATION: Cross Roads, Texas DOB: 12/14/2019 I am 'serious' when I say you are going to fall in love with me! The name's Sirius and it's great to meet you! (picture my very large paw coming in for a good, solid handshake) I have a Master's Degree in two very important subjects-The Great Dane Lean and I Can Never Be Pet Too Much. I've worked hard at both and am pretty proud of myself for these achievements. I didn't care too much for my first school-'The Shelter'. I left there with zero vocabulary. But now in my new school (AKA My Foster Mom's House), my brain has just exploded with all of these new words and phrases. I've learned a bunch of them and continue to learn more. Did you know 'Sit' means I put my rump on the floor and get a treat? They even let me have treats in the classroom! I love chew treats like pig ears, snouts, duck feet, bully sticks and cheek rolls. Squeaky toys are not really my thing. I admit, though, I may have smuggled a shoe or two into the toy stash. I have some furry siblings to run around with here-2 Great Danes (male and female). My meals are served in a separate room as I can sometimes be a little rude during meals and take from my fellow furry friends without asking. I'm a fast food connoisseur and accomplished counter surfer. I feel like I deserve an A for my table manners because of my prowess, but my foster mom would probably say it's more like a low B or maybe even a C. Cats for me a no-way, no-how, no can-do. We get to go on long walks here and I do well on a leash. I walk calmly on a loose lead unless I see another dog (who I automatically assume is my best friend and I want to go see them NOW). I enjoy short sprinting bursts but I could probably walk a marathon. Loading and unloading into the car or truck are still a little unfamiliar but once I'm in I am a good passenger and I settle down quickly. Have you heard of FOMO (fear of missing out)? I have this. I like knowing where everyone is and what they're doing and where they are going. But, if needed, I will go in my crate (a treat bribe is always helpful). I do sleep in my crate at night and I like to take my 'stuff' in there with me. I don't potty in my kennel as that would be terrible. Before I learned my schedule, I had a few accidents in the house, but those were remedied pretty quickly once we got to know each other here. I have experienced this amazing world of learning and love here but I just keep thinking to myself, 'Sirius, you can't stay at My Foster's Mom's House forever.' And every good student knows when they need to ask for help. So it's my time to ask, I guess. Will you help me find my forever home? I would be eternally grateful. Thanks in advance. ========================= To apply to adopt me, please fill out the application form! https://form.jotform.com/51994996709176 .
