About Willow

Adoption Fee: $250
Pointer / Australian Cattle Dog
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Female

This puppy is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $250 if picked up in TN, $325 plus transport fee for out of state adoptions. Meet Willow, a sweet and energetic 6-month-old Pointer mix weighing in at 22lbs. Willow is the perfect companion for someone looking for a playful and affectionate pup. She loves to be part of whatever her humans are doing and will shower you with love and attention without being too demanding. She loves water and likes to splash around every chance she gets. Willow is a smart little girl and knows how to sit and wait patiently for her meals. She is also crate trained and will happily go into her crate for a treat. She is fully housetrained as long as she is within a routine, so if you miss her subtle cues to go out, she may have an accident. Willow is a great playmate and loves to wrestle and chew bones with her foster brother and friends. She's also an independent little girl who likes to hold her own leash during walks. After a good romp, she is ready for snuggles and rubs, making her the perfect early morning coffee and late-night TV companion. Although Willow is confident and fearless most of the time, she still likes to 'puppy nibble' and jump up on people, so she is still learning not to do that. Additionally, her front legs were once bowed to the point of walking on her 'elbows,' and while she now walks normally, she may require joint supplements going forward. She's currently taking supplements for growth that include glucosamine. Willow gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would be happiest in a home that has at least one other playful pup. She hasn't been tested with cats yet, but she warms up quickly to most everyone, including children, and would make a fun companion for a child to grow up with. Willow loves car rides and walks well on a leash, but if she gets spooked in a new environment, she needs a minute to collect herself before moving on. Willow would do best in a home with people who are home more often than not, another playful pup or regular time to play with other dogs, and a fenced-in yard for her to run around. She's a busy, smart, and food-motivated pup who is eager to learn and would love someone to work with her on the basics so she can become her best self. She's slightly protective of her person, but not to the point of concern. In summary, Willow is a fun-loving, affectionate pup who is ready to experience the world with her forever family. She will be a great companion for someone who is looking for an active and playful pup to share adventures and snuggles with.
