About Prince

Adoption Fee: $50
German Shepherd
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

I found Prince abandoned on the side of the road. He'd been in the same spot for a few days I'm told waiting for his people to come back and get him. He is a sweet heart and goofball, hence the name Prince 'Charming'. He is doing very well with me but does have a hard time trusting. He is still weary of my husband. Not sure about kids as ours are all grown up. He is doing ok with our cat, finds him fascinating more than anything but does snap at him. Still trying to work out if he's trying to play or if it's prey drive. A lot of this behavior is also because he's only been with me for 2 days and is trying to find his place in the house hold. He understands 'no' and is a fast learner. He's already got sit and we're working on manners. He does jump up when excited or trying to get your attention. Working on that. He weights about 50-60 pounds but isn't done growing yet. If intrested, we will need to talk and he can not be an outside dog chained to a house. That's the life he came from and he deserves better. Please contact me if you're interested and as always if it doesn't work out I'd like him back as shelter are already full. Thank you for your time. Update: Prince is settling in quickly. He is warming up to my husband he lets him pet him now. A male neighbor stopped by and Prince went up to him and smelled him. Good signs! He is very rough with the cat so, you would need to have the time to work with him to be more respectful of the felines. Not impossible but it will take time and consistency. Prince is very smart!! He is learning at an unbelievable rate. I'm starting his obedience training, cause Shepards need something to do or they drive everyone crazy. He is very submissive and hates it when he does something wrong. A firm voice has him turning into a Shepard puddle. Good in the aspect of wanting to please and not challenging me to be in charge. This t shows he is still young and with the right people he will thrive.
