About *SOS* Chase

This very handsome boy is named Chase. He is a 3 year old Lab mix that weighs 55 pounds. Chase is currently in a high kill shelter. He is incredibly people and dog friendly. His favorite things to do is play ball or play with soft toys. Chase is one of the longest residents at this shelter so he is at extreme risk for euthanasia. Due to being in the shelter for so long he is going 'cage crazy'. Which in our terms means he's not being given the proper time to let energy out and is becoming stressed because of that. Also since he's been in a shelter for so long he has not learned proper boundaries. So, he does play rough with both people and other dogs, and can be nippy at times. But with proper training and expelling of energy this behavior can be changed. Chase has also been treated for heartworm, but will need to be treated for another few months. THIS HIGH KILL SHELTER IS COMPLETE FULL AND IS STILL GETTING ANIMALS IN! SO THEY ARE BEING FORCED TO KILL ADOPTABLE ANIMALS TO CREATE SPACE.
