About Billy

I picked up a stray dog. She was cold and hungry spending all weekend by our campfire. She was skin and bones and had just finished raising a litter of pups. She won me over and I did something I have never done before, I brought home a stray dog. I knew if I left her, she would just get pregnant again. There are so many stray dogs in Georgia already. I wanted to save more than just her life, I wanted to save future dogs from the suffering of living on the streets. I could have taken her to a shelter, but I know how maxed out the rescue community is, so I took her home instead. I told myself, if I couldn't keep her, I'd find her a home. My husband named her Billy. We got her spayed, dewormed, vaccinated. Thank goodness she was heartworm negative and is now on preventatives. She is estimated at 1-1.5 years old. She has a great demeanor, is so sweet and just wants to make you happy. Watching her transformation has been unreal. Billy does awesome with my 8 month old puppy, is great with kids and will greet every stranger she meets. She is very playful and loves to be right by your side. Unfortunately, this playfulness does NOT extend to cats. Please please please help me find a home for this happy, healthy girl.
