About Eve

Meet Eve Introducing a special guest: Eve! Eve is a young girl who is about 65lbs and approximately 10 months old. Eve was found as a stray, so we don't know anything about her background. When she arrived here, it was clear our work was cut out for us: Eve was extremely fearful, shut down, and refused to approach any humans. She never once showed any aggression, though; she just tried to be invisible. With lots of patience, and lots of treats, her walls slowly came down. What we saw underneath was a goofy, happy, playful, affectionate girl. Eve made friends with the staff here, as well as just about any dog she met! Once you're in her club, you're in for life! Eve is in a foster home, currently, where she is doing very well. She is crate trained and loves her crate - that is her safe space. She currently is roommates with an older dog who appreciates his boundaries, and with a little bit of correction, she respects those. She would love a doggy playmate! Her foster mom reports that she loves to cuddle and loves to play. She loves her toys, too. She is very sweet and affectionate, but typically reserves that for people she knows. She has enjoyed car rides and done well for bath-time. She will alert bark at strangers, but stops when asked. She is nervous of new situations and is looking for an experienced handler to ensure that her socialization continues so she can live her best, balanced life! Eve is such an intelligent, loyal, goofball who just needs the right person to help her shine! She loves fetch, and is toy and treat motivated. She can guard her prized items and crate from other dogs, so any canine friends will need a household who can manage that. I'm fixed, vaccinated, microchipped and up to date on parasite preventatives. It is $165 to bring me home! If you are interested in meeting this pet, please call (541) 474-5458 for an appointment.
