About Lancelot

Welcome Lancelot to CCPAL Rescue. He is a 7-month-old Australian Shepherd/Heeler mixed boy. He is absolutely stunning and warms up nicely. He is affectionate with his people and it doesn't take too long to become that person. This is a wonderful loyal breed and people that have had this breed traditionally want another one. He was given to the Rescue by a working farm. They have only working dogs. He is a little shy but very very sweet. He would be fine with children and with other dogs. We like the children 8 or older. We also would like a family familiar with the working breed or Heeler. He could be an only dog or with a confident dog that will show him the ropes. He came in with a young girl dog that we think is a Aussie pure breed. He has the longer length coat that would be perfect for the colder climates in the north. He should be 40 pounds full grown. Medium sized boy. We would love a previous Heeler or Aussie owner as they know the breed and all the beauties of the temperament. He is smart and a very loyal breed. He will take a gentle touch on his training and he really likes affection and told he is a good boy. He is getting his vaccines and will be neutered and ready for his forever home soon. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 180.
