About TIGER

Adoption Fee: $225
Belgian Malinois / German Shepherd
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

***NEEDS FOSTER or FUREVER HOME*** Currently in Jerome boarding kennels TIGER is a shy, calm, sweet, smaller-sized 2.5 year old shepherd with hip and disc degeneration who is looking for a family where she can be an indoor dog. She would make a good companion for an older person. A home without little kids is best as they may inadvertently cause her pain if they are rough with her. TIGER is a bit shy at first (she ducks when you reach over her or try to pet her from above), but very loving once she realizes you won't harm her. TIGER is not a barker and the dogs in close proximity do not seem to bother her at this time. She has had a problem with little dogs in the past. Unknown about cats. TIGER knows basic commands and if you approach her from a sitting position she will melt right into a loving hand. TIGER does well off-leash in a fenced area (she currently is off-leash in the kennel lobby), but she still has flight instincts, so should not be left off-leash until good on recall command. TIGER does not like walking on uneven surfaces due to her disc disease and will try to take the smoothest possible path. She will be taking a pill a day for degenerative disc disease and hip dysplasia. TIGER's adoption includes health vaccines, spay, rabies vaccine, and microchip.
