About Clay

Australian Cattle Dog / Siberian Husky
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

This is Clay! Clay is a 2 to 2.5 year old mix of Aussie/Cattle Dog and Husky. He is around 65 lbs. Clay needs a few things in his new home - a fenced in yard and an active person or family. He is medium-high energy and would love a dedicated leash walker in addition to playtime in the yard. Clay has been around kids as young as 4 without issue. Because of his size and energy we think sturdy kids 8+ are best for him! No cats for Clay... he is a little too interested. Clay likes to play with the other foster dogs in his home but can be a little possessive of toys and food with the other dogs. We DO think Clay could live with another dog and really enjoy it - he loves to romp and play, but the owners need to understand boundaries and rules or Clay will outsmart the household :). If he is the only, we think he would love it but would need to continue to have playdates and socialization with other canines because he loves it! Clay is a husky for sure - he is smart and calculated (not in a bad way) so an owner with husky experience would be awesome. With some additional training and consistency and direction on indoor manners, Clay is going to be an awesome family dog (and he is quite a looker!)
