About Hedgehog

Cubby is a 1 year old hedgehog, she is a beautiful little lady, however she is very antisocial. We got her from a local, ethical hedgehog breeder who told us she would be a lot more social. She lives in a large, single story Critter Nation cage which would come with her to whomever would adopt her. She is very healthy and I do believe she will love a long life for a hedgehog because her genetic line is strong. She does not like to eat insects so she is on a diet of several very low fat cat kibbles mixed together with dried cricket powder. She has a silent wheel, a few snuggle pouches, a few fleece blankets, and a fleece hide bed. I would really like her to go to a home where she would be loved and cherished. We tried for a year to handle her enough in hopes to get her to want to be around us and socialize with us but unfortunately, I just don't think it is in her nature. We are downsizing and her habitat is just so large and so it is in her and our best interest to rehome her. She cost us over $200 and the critter nation cages cost about $200 as well, so that along with all of her food and supplies total over a $600 value. I just want her to end up somewhere she is deeply cared for and has an enriching life. I also will require that whoever adopts her must have an exotic vet in their area who sees hedgehogs and I will not adopt her out unless the potential adopter is researched in hedgehog care and husbandry.
