Please know that we will ask for a vet reference. �%A0 Name:�%A0 POPPY Age:�%A0 �%A0 4-5 years old Breed: Mixed Weight 30# Sex:�%A0 Female (not spayed) Location: Vet Information:�%A0 Has some vaccines but no rabies (per owner). No HW test. Blind dog. Good Samaritian reports 'she was taken to the vet to see what her health status was and although near death , amazingly, her heart, lungs,kidney and liver functions were all normal. The vet said no intestinal worms., but she had a very serious infection somewhere causing diarrhea w blood which was making her anemic. Her prognosis did not look good, but we started her on antibiotics and pain meds at home to see if it would help. After 2 days of antibiotic treatment the vet was surprised- she was responding well- white cell count, etc dropped significantly and she had put on @2lbs since Monday. She was walking around her enclosure and actually playing w a toy. We were told then that she may have heartworm too.' Owner report: �%A0 Poppy was found by a good Samaritian and is in need of a new home. Poppy described an indoor dog confined to one area of the house. Poppy is reported to be house broken and leash trained. Poppy is said to be good with adults and teenagers. Good Samaritan reports 'she has been learning her surroundings. Listening to get around but still struggles to walk on her own without running into things.'
