About Temple

I'm a cute little pitty with a big-o heart. I was found at a Buddhist Temple, so my foster mom calls me Temple �'�| or Tempie for short. Some days I love spending hours playing with my foster sisters, while other days I can spend hours snuggling with you on the couch or in the bed at night. Being close to you is the best feeling in the world. I will go in a crate if you tell me to and I will do my best to be a good girl in there, but please don't leave me in there too long or I will start to cry to get out. I'm on high alert when someone knocks at the door and will be ify about them at first, so introduce me slowly to people. Once I warm up, then I like cuddling with them too. I'm adventurous and curious, so will chase squirrels, birds, and will even investigate every mosquito that comes in the house. My foster mom has 4 other large foster pups and I get along with all of them �'�| except one. We just don't get along and we've fought a few times. My foster mom keeps us separated all the time, so that helps so I can play with the other 3 foster pups. We always have such a fun time playing chase, tug-of-war, running after each other, or just snuggling together. I've never been around small dogs or cats, so please do the proper steps to introduce us. My favorite treat is anything that falls on the floor lol. I don't mind being your personal food-picker-upper. Dentastix are my second favorite, but to be honest I haven't found a treat I didn't like. I love running in the backyard, but I prefer to be inside with you. Car rides are so much fun and I promise to be a good girl on a leash. I'm potty trained, but I foster mom keeps puppy pad out just in case we all have to go in the middle of the night. I'm heartworm negative and up to date on all my shots, so I'm ready to find my forever home. Can that be you?? The good: She's very gentle and loving on all of the other 3 pups in my house. She is super close to my Lacy. The always want to be together. They are like long lost best friends. They will play and run after each other for HOURS. One could be laying on the floor and the other laying on the couch �'�| then out of the blue the one on the couch will pounce on the one of the floor and they are off running after each other playing. It's truly the cutest thing ever. I know Lacy is going to miss Temple soooooo much when she leaves. Their relationship was the main reason why I wanted to keep her, but the fighting with Chloe is too intense. The bad: It's not all Temple's fault for fighting. My Chloe is also to blame. One day Temple will start the fight, while another day my Chloe will start the fight. My Chloe is the alpha in my house, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. When they are separated neither one of them will attack each other thru the baby gate, so that's a good thing. The ugly: When she is in the fight she won't stop. She will keep going that day even after I try to separate them. She won't listen to stop either. Favorite Toys: Stuffed animals and squeaky toys. She like chew toys and bones as well Favorite Treats: bits of hotdog, cheese from a spray can, Cheetos (from my mom), dentastix Overall Personality: Overall she is extremely loving, sweet, and a major cuddle bug. When she's not playing she wants to be right next to you, beside you, touching you in some way, or laying above your head �'�| seriously! Above your head �'�| see picture. She listens when I tell her no, knows simple commands, uses a pup pad inside, and has woke me up to go out in the middle of the night. She's a lazy bum in the morning and just wants 5 more minutes before she gets up. She will bury her head in the sheets or just ignore me when I tell her to get up. If I tell her '5 more minutes' a few times, then she will eventually get up to go out. If it was up to her she would sleep until noon cozy and warm in my bed. Prey drive - only dogs, small dogs, cats, etc: She's only been around my 4 other large pups. She will chase squirrels, birds, or any small animals she hears outside. I don't know about small dogs, cats. Kids, men, women: I don't really have visitors, so I don't know how she is with kids, men, or other women. My mom came over during the freeze and she was barking at her the first day, but was fine after that �'�| after my mom gave her Cheetos lolol.
