About Fisher

Fisher is a seven-year-old purebred German Shepherd who is incredibly loving, silly, energetic, and loyal. We adopted him from a GSD breeder in South Carolina when he was six months old. With the birth of our child, we have found ourselves with less time to give him and feel that finding him a new home, where he is the sole focus of his human(s), is in his best interests. Fisher is a dog who loves to be loved! Fisher is used to walking a couple of miles per day or playing fetch - he thrives when he gets to burn off energy 1-2 times a day. While Fisher is large (80 lbs), he is never been aggressive with another dog (despite being attacked, himself) or a person. He is extremely gentle and patient with our toddler and likes to bark at the Amazon delivery person. We do not have a cat, but he is certainly intrigued by them and would gladly chase one if given the chance. Thus, we would prefer he go to a cat-less home. He is fully vetted (goes for his checkups twice a year) and up to date on his shots. He loves sticking his head out the car or truck window. Fisher is perfectly fine being left for a few hours at home, but he would be happiest in an environment where he has a human to follow all day. If you are looking for a forever friend to lay by your feet and tag along with you to the bathroom, Fisher is your guy. He is used to eating premium grainless kibble and will gladly gobble up any crumbs left under the dinner table. His vice is eating socks (clean or dirty), so you'll need to hide them!
