About Bear

Bear! This tiny guy with the big name is Bear. Bear is an approx 7 mth old chihuahua/jack russell mix who is around 7-10 lbs. His ears are probably half of that. Bear is truly a funny looking (in a cute way) yoda-like creature. He spends much of his time shaking in fear, but if you pick him up he just melts into your arms. He requests his future owner be big into wearing hoodies, because he certainly likes to snuggle inside, especially if it is still on your body. Many of the people at Dog Town have become adept at typing with hoodie gremlin, in the short time that he has been with us. Bear came to us as a release from a commercial breeder, so not much is known about his history, although we assume he has not had much exposure to the real world. He likely would do best in a home without very young children as we think the activity and noise that can come from them may make him nervous. Bear is fine in the presence of other dogs, although he really has not shown much interest in playing with them. He likely would be fine with a calm dog, or as your one and only. He also does well in a crate. Although he loves to be held we would love for him to find an adopter that will work with him on training and help him gain a little confidence in the world as well. Bear's adoption fee includes his neuter, age appropriate vaccinations and microchipping. He is also up to date on preventatives. Interested?
