About Phoenix

Phoenix was trapped while pregnant, had her babies, was a wonderful mama, and has been content with where she is. But the point of rescue is to not adopt your fosters when they are tough. We want to find that true forever home for each pup. Phoenix is about 3.5 years old. She will sit on the couch next to you and give you the 'pet me' eyes, but she is actually just fine if you don't pet her. She is a cat in a dog's body!! If you have a calm home, you're a cat person but want to try to be a dog person, and you just want to help in the rescue world, Phoenix is your girl. We know she is beautiful, and that will naturally attract many people, but she does need to go to an adopter or a foster that understands a fear dog and doesn't expect her to come around for awhile This is the definition of 'shooting our shot' to give Phoenix a chance!
