About Scarlett

Scarlett is a super sweet spayed St Bernard, that I rescued from a situation which I later found out details about. I've had her for 3 years and have done some training to correct some habits, such as urinating inside & her rushing inside through doors due to her fear of being shut out or in a place (this is because her previous owners kept her shut in a basement and she needs more work in this issue). She's great with young kids, kids of ask ages, adults and animals (she has cats, chickens, a duck and a horse at our farm and loves them all). The only reason I'm looking to rehome her is because she has allergies to things that I'm not completely sure of, which cause her to have ear and skin issues. I've changed her food several times (she's clearly allergic to chicken, chicken byproducts, salmon and rosemary�'�|these things are in most foods, but I've got her on Diamond brand food, which seems to work well for her), have had an allergy test done (my vet isn't confident of these tests, but it seems accurate when I've excluded these things from her diet), have taken her for a few ear treatments that she has to be sedated for and she'll need to have when her ears get really. She finds ways to get into our other dog's food, which has chicken and causes her to have ear and skin issues. She really needs to go to a skin specialist vet, but I don't have the money for that and the closest ones are in Atlanta. This is a difficult decision because she's so wonderful, but she needs someone who can afford the treatments that she'll need. I'm happy to answer any other questions about her with complete honesty, as I wish the people I'd gotten her from had been honest with me. The lucky person who she ends up with will be very carefully chosen and will need to be able to somehow prove that they can afford the care that she needs. Note: I didn't choose any health issues on here because none of them applied to her, but she does have health concerns that must be addressed and carefully considered.
