About Dodge

Australian Cattle Dog / Pit Bull
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Dodge is a shy boy looking for a family to show him the world is an amazing place to explore! He will do best with another social dog to show him the ropes in his new home! Dodge was born on the streets of south Phoenix. He lived the first year of his life trying to survive in an industrial area of Phoenix. We helped get him safe as well as the rest of the group of dogs he roamed the streets with. He is a medium energy boy who can keep up w/you on a hike or lounge with you on the couch. He has settled into life in a home very well. He enjoys hanging out, chewing on toys and playing with his four legged friends. He has learned sit which may not seem like much, but is huge for a boy from the streets! While trying to survive the streets of industrial Phoenix he seems to have really focused on honing his escape skills, running from various negative elements of his life on the streets. He needs a very securely fenced yard that blocks him from practicing his escape skills. He is what we consider an extreme fear dog because when he is fearful he will go to great lengths to get away from what is scaring him. He will take some time to settle in with his new family. He comes with ongoing support by us to help him adjust as smoothly as possible. We specialize in rehabbing these street dogs and helping them settle into their forever homes. Once he's settled, he is a mellow boy who is highly food motivated and will bond with his people and enjoy the life he deserves in a home! Dodge is a pitbull/cattle dog mix, aprx 18 mth old. He walks on leash, is house broken, crates UTD, chipped and is neutered. To meet Dodge, email: [email protected]
