About Thor

(DOB 10/30/2022). Due to Thor's young age, he has not yet been neutered. For this reason, we are only considering local placement (within 1 hour drive time of Wake Forest NC). Thor is very sweet and loving. He has the most precious face! Thor can't wait to meet you and dazzle you with his charm. The name is Thor & yes, I was named after an Asgardian God. In Thor's own words, 'I would LOVE to be your dog's best friend and playmate. I would love to lay next to you and take a nappy nap, while you read a good book or watch some TV. I would be very happy if you can take me on a nice hike or walk; I will be a happy camper. If you have older kids, I would love to be their bestie. I can see myself, living it up, with you and your family.' He is black as midnight and gorgeous. He has a shiny, shiny, silky soft coat. It sparkles in the sun. You will want to keep petting him and he won't mind that a bit! He likes a little lap snuggle time too after he has played and burned off energy so leave some room next to you on the sofa. Make sure you have plenty of time to fawn over Thor because he does love attention, pets, and belly rubs. He is a social guy and is confident when meeting strangers, or should we say meeting new friends! He has a fun personality that seems to radiate a 'come meet me you will love me' kind of flare. He is young and smart...ready to learn all kinds of new things. Thor wants to please you, make you happy, and then hear all kinds of 'your such a good boy' comments from you! He is definitely food/treat motivated, so you will need to spend time with him each day learning, reinforcing and practicing good behavior. He is easily redirected if he happens to be getting into a little mischief. Thor loves tug o war and toys so just get him quickly interested in something else. He loves playing with you or the other doggos! His foster mom is already taking him on leash walks to help him be a good boy when out and about. He is a little independent but not so much so, that he wants to be alone. In fact, he loves being with his dog friends during the day, and being with his 2-legged family members too! He wants a yard to run around in so a fence that is 4-5ft is perfect for this midnight handsome boy! Thor is not good with cats so he will need a cat free home. As part of Thor's $325 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. In addition to the adoption fee, a $100 spay/neuter deposit and puppy spay/neuter agreement will also be required. The deposit will be returned once the puppy is altered.
