Sammy is such a sweet lovable dog. We brought him home from the shelter 6 months ago and we just adore him. Unfortunately, as great as he is with kids, he doesn't do well with other dogs. I don't believe he had enough interactions as a puppy as he doesn't understand normal social cues from other dogs and often irritates them and responds to their telling barks with aggression. It is for this reason he doesn't do well in group play or with the pups we already own. He would do well and be an amazing companion as a single pet in a household. You'll love his silly personality, his desire to hoard everything, and the hugs he shares with his monkey arms when you get home. He's a smart boy and knows to ring the bell when it's pee time, is comfortable in a crate and very obedient, but still needs to learn some manners on leash. He needs a home that is filled with love because he deserves nothing less. The vet estimates him to be between 18-23 months and he's just shy of 50 lbs. The boy is all arms.....you'll be jealous of his amazing metabolism! He's so tiny for his size you'll barely notice he's there! If you need a running buddy he is great for it, but if you want to lounge at home he's equally happy playing with toys by himself. Little man loves to play fetch too! You won't regret him as long as he's the only fuzzy creature in your home!
