About Bashful

LOCATION: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma DOB: 01/13/2023 My name is Bashful. Did you know that means 'reluctant to draw attention to oneself'? I also like the word Beautiful cuz those have a lot of the same letters as my name. I suppose both words are fitting, I am bashful. I can be a little timid and shy. I'm not always the first one to try new things or go exploring into new places. I'm okay letting someone else try out a new toy first or be the one to sniff out new corners. I like to play things a little safer I guess. And my foster mom says all the time that I'm beautiful so I suppose I will have to trust her on that. I do think I'm puffy and soft like a snowball and I think snowflakes are beautiful so that must mean I am beautiful, too. Right? There are two things I'm pretty sure about. One, is that a yard would be nice. I'm a combo breed, both of which are livestock herders and guardians therefore it's just in my genes to need a place to roam. I don't think an apartment would be the right location. But a nice sized backyard seems appropriate. I do love to roll around in the tickly grass and walk around and sniff the flowers. Two, I would appreciate having some toys to play with. I don't care what kind or what color or if they make noise. But I do find they are fun way to pass the time. So, my foster mom says I need to tell you about my potty habits which is so terribly embarrassing I cannot even believe I have to discuss this. Yes, I am not fully housebroken. Yes, I am still a puppy and Yes, I am working hard on it. Let's move on please. I find I enjoy being around people and other dogs and people and other dogs seem to enjoy being around me. I'm not picky about either-old, young, big, small-makes no difference. I'm friendly with everyone just like I hope they are friendly with me. I'm learning some new skills which help me feel strong and confident. My foster mom is working with me on Sit and we are just starting to practice with a leash. I find treats help me to remember better so if you have a few of those laying around, feel free to share them with me.
